The static dimensioning weighing scanning machine, hereafter referred as “DWS” machine. It is all-in-one design. It works alone as a multi-functioned tool, including a scanner, a weighing scale and/or a dimensioner, as well as a data provider.

There are different models. They are to work with different functions and handle with different parcel sizes. In general, there are two types: weighing scale working platform and belt conveyor working platform. Those models with belt conveyor(s) will be able to realize parcel sorting. After the DWS collects all the parcel information, the system will control the belt conveyors to deliver to the right destination(exit ports).

The operator load a parcel on the weighing platform, the system will be triggered to read the barcodes, measure weight and scan its volume dimension, as well photo storage. The conveyor type DWS will continue to communicate with users’ system for exit instruction or analyze the sorting port information in local computer. Then the machine sorts and conveys the parcel to the right exit port.

The collected information is objective and accurate. Used directly in ship cost pricing system.
